I stayed here for 2 nights in December and I wished I hadn't booked my hotel in Bagan because I wanted to stay longer. All the staff are amazingly friendly(even the groundskeepers) and the service is outstanding.Some of the best service I have ever had. Food in the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced,great buffet breakfast too. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, it's so relaxing just walking around. My favourite place was the Gym and the Pool. High quality equipment in the gym and the pool was immaculate. The best part is I had it to myself for both mornings. Mr Soe has the best English and can help you organize a driver if you want to go and explore Naypyidaw. I recommend the Pagoda and the empty 20 lane highway. I got some great pics at both places. I wouldn't stay anywhere else next time I am in Naypyidaw.

Staying at Emerald Palace was like being a rockstar. I felt that I was the only person staying in this amazing hotel which is more like a resort. Do yourself a favour and check out the pool and gym.

Throughout the years, I have stayed at many hotels throughout the world, but cannot recall ever having the degree of pampering that is offered here. From the moment of arrival, it was like having your own personal entourage to take care of whatever needs may arise. Check in was very speedy. Wonderfully large room, containing a large comfortable bed, and all the amenities you need. This included tea/coffee making facilities, a very large bench space from which to work from, a very good guest compendium, and even fresh fruit. Bathroom was large and contained (what appears to be a rarity in Myanmar, Face Cloths (heaven!) Having an all-day in house restaurant negates the fact that this hotel (like almost all others), is located well away from any sights that you may wish to visit. While the restaurant specializes in Italian fare, there is still a good selection of Asian meals available. Ongoing travel arrangements and transfers to desired destinations, is very quickly attended to by the hotel staff. All the staff at this Hotel are exceptionally attentive, and one could never (in my mind), leave here without feeling that they have been treated to a rare moment of extraordinary pampering.

The hotel is very new: everything shined. The staff are more than helpful and quickly respond to any request. The Italian restaurant food and serving staff were top notch. I was sorry I had to travel on to another destination.
